Alex orchestrates a meeting with a supposed old flame, the acclaimed actress, Clare Keegan. They meet. They connect. Then they marry freely, but this is where the problems surface. But these are big problems, mainly brought on by Alex's strange upbringing and his need for control over Clare, whose career surprisingly goes global, affecting them both big time. They part, but keep in touch, even at the end. And it is not a good ending.
