Can you imagine jumping into a well only because your step-mother makes you to? Although it may sound impossible, the poor girl in our story had to do it. And she did not die. Actually she fell into another land where she had to complete a series of chores. At the end she met Frau Holle who rewarded the poor girl with gold because of her kindness and diligence.
