In the childrens book Farmer Johns Farm, the story line relates to school children visiting a farm in the countryside. The students are treated to drinks and cakes by the farmers wife, enjoy a ride on the farm tractor, and see the farm animals. The children exclaim that it has been a great day out and that they had learnt a lot about country life.
