Today we sit down and discuss how life arose on Earth roughly 3.5 billion years ago. We will go over the 2 main competing theories which are Panspermia and Abiogenesis. Panspermia is the theory that the building blocks of life or micro organisms arrived on a meteorite, comet, or some other celestial body. Abiogenesis is the main academic theory which suggests life came to be via a series of events the included organic compounds exposed to a chemical atmosphere and electrically charged possibly by lightning.
