The 40k Lorecast

On Today’s cast we conclude our listener cast on “where are the Primarchs now” with a focus on the Loyalists. After a very quick trip into very dead Ferrus Manus, we spend a bunch of time on John’s favorite Primarch Guilliman. He is awesome, sorry. Then we throw Brad a bone and jump into Leman Russ. We follow this up with Sangunius and Corax, and then Vulkan. Then we make Brad admit that Rogal Dorn is awesome, and then conclude on the Lion.

Episode 64 - "Where are they now" Primarch edition - the Loyalists

On today's cast we begin our coverage of the Blood Angels
Chapter. We start with their origins
under the unification wars. From there
their borderline descent into savagery as they pushed out into the great
crusade. Next we jump to their Primarch
Sanguinius. First with his arrival on
Baal Secundus, and then his growth and rise to be the leader of the moon. That leads us into his unification of his
legion and their repression of their Gene flaw. 
And then we go into the Horus Heresy. 
With the betrayal at Signus prime and their greatest enemy Ka’
Bandha. Then we join them on their quick
detour to make a new imperium, and finally we close out with the Sierge of
Terra and Death of their Primarch.

Episode 74 - Blood Angels pt1 - The origins

On today’s cast we finish out coverage of the Blood Angels
legion. We open with the Blood Angles
trying to rebuild their devastated legion after the Horus Heresy. From there we talk about the Blood Angles

Episode 75 - Blood Angels pt2 - After the Death of Sanguinius

On today’s cast we begin our coverage of the Harlequins! We start with the history of the Harlequins (what we know of it) and more importantly their god Cegorach. From there we move onto the masques of the Harlequins and how they interact with greater Eldar culture (Craftworld, Corsair Fleets, Exodites, and Drukhari). On today’s cast we conclude our coverage of the Harlequins. Today we focus more on how their interact with the 40K universe lore. We open with, of course, the Black Library and how it steers all of the actions of the Harlequins. From there wego into their reemergence in the galaxy and how they interact with the beings of the galaxy. From there we talk about their presence in the Dark City and their role in the resurrection of Vect. We then close with their alliance with Eldrad and the brining of Ynnead to (semi) consciousness.

Episode 77 - Harlequins pt 2 - Harlequins moving the storyline along

On today’s cast we begin our coverage of the Ynnari. We start with a recap events of Demesnus to waken Ynnead. We then jump to the Yvrain and he becoming imbued with the god of death and her flight from the dark city. We then take a quick break to laugh at the original gameplay rules of the Ynnari (Soulburst for the auto-win!). After that we jump the truly epic battle of biel tan, starting with the Mask and Skarbrand’s assault on Ursulia. We then close with the battle on Biel Tan itself and the arrival of Yvraine and the creation of the Yncarne.

Episode 78 - The Ynnari pt 1 - Ynnead, Yvraine, and the battle of Biel Tan

On Today’s cast we begin our coverage on the Adeptus Sororitas. We start with a recap of the rise of Ecclesiarchy, the why and the how of its growth. After this we spend time talking about the rise and reign of terror or Goge Vandire. Namely his employment of the Daughters of the Emperor from San Leor. Then we go into the conflict between Vandire and the forces of the Imperium, and of course the turning of the Daughters from him. From there we close out on the reformation of the Ecclesiarchy and as such the Daughters of the Emperor becoming the Adeptus Sororitas.

On Today’s cast we start our coverage of the Tau. What they are, where they come from, and their history. We open with the surprise they were to the imperium, going from stone age to plasma in less than 60,000 years. From there we dive into the story of rise of the Tau and the introduction of the Ethereal. Then how the Ethereals changed the Tau into the full Caste structures that helped them rise up at an amazing rate. We then dive into what a Tau is physically and also what is a kroot, and how pointless the vespid are. We then close with the real force behind the Tau the Ethereals.
