The 40k Lorecast

On Today’s episode we dive into the Adeptus Custodes. We start with the process of making a Custode, both the creation and training of them. We then move into their history within the Imperium and what their purpose was for the emperor and how it evolved as the imperium grew and changed. We then move into their resurgence at the conclusion of Abaddon’s 13th black crusade. We then finish with a dive into the stories of Valdor and Trajan.

Episode 48 - The Talons of the Emperor pt 1 - Adeptus Custodes

On Today’s cast we conclude our listener cast on “where are the Primarchs now” with a focus on the Loyalists. After a very quick trip into very dead Ferrus Manus, we spend a bunch of time on John’s favorite Primarch Guilliman. He is awesome, sorry. Then we throw Brad a bone and jump into Leman Russ. Episode 64 - "Where are they now" Primarch edition - the Loyalists

On Today’s cast we start our coverage of the Tau. What they are, where they come from, and their history. We open with the surprise they were to the imperium, going from stone age to plasma in less than 60,000 years. From there we dive into the story of rise of the Tau and the introduction of the Ethereal. Then how the Ethereals changed the Tau into the full Caste structures that helped them rise up at an amazing rate. On Today’s cast we start our coverage of the Space Wolves. We open with the creation of the 6th legion by the emperor and its initial design and function in the Galaxy. From there we move into Leman Russ and his arrival on Fenris, and ascension to the leader of the Space Wolf legion. After this we move onto how an aspirant is chosen and then how they become a Space Wolf. Then we focus on the Space Wolves history from pre-heresy through Leman leaving the galaxy. Our main focus is on how the events of the Horus Heresy affected Leman and by proxy his legion. We close on how Brad broke the Space Wolves with a horrible, horrible list that caused GW to nerf the entire army.

Episode 4 - Heresy makes its move

Episode 5 - The imperium is Fragmented while Chaos corrupts

On this episode we cover every imperial citizen's greatest fear: the inquisition. How each branch is structured and how they interact with each other (*spoiler alert not all that well*). We then dive into the lives of an inquisitor, their retinues, how they move through imperial space. We then talk about how an inquisitor achieves their job and the endless dangers from all sides. Lastly we spend time discussing whether the inquisition are the "good guys" or the "bad guys" in the imperium.
