Meet SAGE POE—witch, reluctant consultant to the sheriff's department, and woman who just wanted some damn pancakes. She thought the most dangerous thing at Nellie's Diner would be the cholesterol count. She thought wrong. When patrons start experiencing their worst nightmares after ordering the blue plate special, turning the beloved diner into a feeding ground for something ancient, Sage finds herself trapped in a buffet of horrors. Enter SHERIFF EMMET QUILL—lawman with a newfound respect for the supernatural and the only person in town who takes his coffee darker than the entity lurking beneath the diner. He may now believe in magic, but he still needs evidence . . . and maybe a chance to finally define whatever's cooking between him and Sage.
