Dr. Sophie Armstrong just got her first big win after a year of setbacks. An ecologist at Riverbend’s Indiana Polytechnic, she lands a partnership with Wilderness Watch, a leader in remote surveillance, to commercialize remote wildlife cameras. Everything is on the line—her career, her department’s financial future, and her reputation. Special Agent Blake Evans and his K-9 partner, Ranger, are ready to settle down. Amidst injuries, fires, and unexplained data deletions, she’s in over her head. As much as she would rather avoid the FBI, she soon realizes that Blake and his playful Labrador retriever are exactly what she needs. With no time to spare, Sophie, Blake, and Ranger must team up to protect the people and wilderness they love.
