An Essay on The Nature of The State

The aim of this book is to decipher the core of the state, to uncover the profound nature of the state as a political institution which was born with class society, and is doomed to disappear with it. That is why the book is not affected by the downfall of any kind of state, be it feudal, capitalist, or socialist. It seeks to find out what is common to all kinds of states. The fundamental characteristic of the state is its imbrication with the class structure of the society to which it belongs. This makes the state the first political institution that we have to examine in order to bring to light the class nature of any society.
