An Abandoned House (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 13)

Reverend Blake has realised that Simon Taylor, whom he treated almost like a foster son, is dead. Over a glass of brandy the priest and Watson talk about God, guilt and justice – and about Brother Peter, whom the Reverend has long mistrusted. Then it is settled: Simon's family home must be searched. Through the snowstorm the two men trudge to the Taylors' abandoned house, where, between schoolbooks, drawings and two bare mattresses, an inconspicuous exercise book lies hidden. What Watson reads in it changes everything … Where has Mariah disappeared to – and will Watson make it back to Holmes in time? This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
