AI and Hiring Bias: Auditing the Tools Before They Judge Your Candidates

Every hiring manager, HR professional, and recruiter now confronts a hard truth: the AI screening tools you rely on can introduce—or amplify—bias in ways that are invisible to the naked eye. This book gives you a practical, legally grounded framework to audit those tools before they make decisions about your candidates. You will learn how to spot the five common bias traps in resume parsers, video interview analyzers, and skill assessments. You will get a repeatable audit process that works whether you are evaluating a vendor's product or building your own model. Real worked examples show you how to interpret fairness metrics, what to demand from vendors, and when to walk away. No jargon, no hype—just the durable practices that let you uphold your professional duty to fair hiring while using AI responsibly. Your regulator, your employer, and your candidates expect nothing less. Part of The AI at Work Library.
