#4 - Religious trauma - Includes incomplete list of symptoms in and after religion + Religious astrological archetypes

If it was not clear by now...this podcast is based on my personal traumas and the understanding and practices, I have found for my own healing and therapeutic client-work. This episode is around a topic we will come back to a lot, because 30 years of my life was spent inside a doctrine; a sectarian environment that programmed into me a fundamentalistic faith in God and the whole biblical world-view - to the extend that it was all I cared about and lived for. I hope it sounds as awful to you as I now think indoctrination into religion is. I begin by circling back to dissociation and I will assert, that dissociation is a pre-requisite to merge with a such an invasive belief-system, such as religion. I go through Uranus and Neptune to link the transpersonal planets to disembodied human states. (topic on religious trauma start 18 minutes in) I then speak to my own background of religion being a source of wounding, for example repressing real emotions and needs. The trauma is from exposure to teachings that subvert mental health. You can struggle to adhere to unrealistic expectations, that you pursue motivated by fear of consequences if you don't comply. Why? Because you are not the authority of how you want to live, when you are in a religion. Being born into a religious family, I experienced spiritual abuse, because the connection to God functioned as an attachment relationship- which makes attachment complicated ...listening to different preachers, let alone your parents personal interpretations of how to live according to this father God. Moral judgements- Then some on belonging when you are in a subordinate position in the social system- and the roots of the need to justify yourself - Then Jupiter.
