Meditation begins 29 minutes in - if you prefer to go straight to it. Before then I talk about my trauma-informed-sensitive motivation for offering it. I speak about: when a meditation-instruction is overruling habituated emotional patterns, and how that can seem like your are required to suppress emotions to follow orders, and then it can feel like that old trauma of individuation being forbidden! Like your internal feelings doesn't matter. If you can't follow my associations here- It is fine, It is far- stretched perhaps, but based on my own experience with guided meditations like this one. Okay, so I just want to be sensitive to the fact, that many of us have grown up in environments, that denied what we were feeling as real and appropriate, which can make you doubt your whole perception of reality. For very good reasons it can feel like you can't trust that the smile is real, like a distrust fixed in the psyche, because of past hurt. That's why I prefer a version of this meditation that acknowledges that you may not feel like smiling. You can allow in this divine radiance, if you want. No threat. The spirit of this meditation represents a reliable, secure approval of who you are. It guides an emergence that allows self-activation - a place to call your whole - really as part of healing from the dynamic of projecting internal mood on the outside world as to confuse external circumstances with internal feels.
