#1 The problem is that most organizations are inherently dogmatic and lacking in courage, creativity, and passion. We’ve become inured to this reality because every organization is diffident and dogmatic.

#2 Our organizations are inertial, incremental, and uninspiring. They are the core incompetencies of the corporation, and they’re so pervasive that we can be forgiven for assuming they’re irremediable. But human beings are resilient, inventive, and exuberant.

#3 When we regard a problem as intractable, we conspire to perpetuate it. We must not flinch or look away. We must confront what we have long known: our organizations are incapable of solving the problems they were created to solve.

#4 The most important question for any organization is this: Are we changing as fast as the world around us. For most organizations, the answer is no. We are change addicts, and we have an insatiable appetite for the new.
