”Affinity” is an intensive thriller, in which family secrets from decades past are finally coming to light. It tells a cross-border story of distorted family relations and people blinded by power. A nurse is killed during a night shift in a psychiatric institution on the outskirts of Stockholm. The same night, a young patient escapes from the secure unit at the hospital. Among those who are ordered to investigate the case is detective sergeant Harriet Jaatinen, who is of Finnish descent and is on sick leave from her work within the Stockholm police. Someone seems to want Harriet to be the one investigating the murder, but why? Can the answer be uncovered in Harriet’s past and in the untold truths surrounding her family back in Finland?
