Elif is a celebrated and award-winning novelist and the most widely read female author in Turkey. She has published seventeen books, eleven of which are novels, including the bestselling The Bastard of Istanbul, The Forty Rules of Love, and Three Daughters of Eve. Her latest book is the critically acclaimed 10 Minutes, 38 Seconds in this Strange World. Elif is also an activist advocating for women's rights, LGBT rights and freedom of speech. We talked to her about baklava, politics, Death Metal and stationery obsessions.
