Hulk Hogan vs. Terry

Ms. Rachel started a Youtube Channel called "Songs For Littles" in 2019 with the goal of helping babies and toddlers develop speaking skills and in less than a decade has built a gigantic empire involving Netflix deals, mass marketed merchandise...and controversy. Yes controversy, because hey, the Internet isn't anything if not consistently critical, especially of the people entertaining our kids so we don't have to. We get into all of it and celebrate someone who refuses to back down and give in to bullying despite getting death threats just for wanting kids to stop being killed. The story of Ms Rachel is the story of modern online culture and perseverance while still keeping your dignity and pink hairband.

But hey, he did compete in the 1994 Blockbuster Video Game Championships and vividly remembers being humbled, so there's that.

The History and Future of Esports

Don't worry nerd of mouth breathers, there is lots of joy and very little wrath in this episode, it just fit the pun too well. We're excited to talk comic (and everything else) conventions as Holden gives a brief history on the beginnings of what would eventually become the gigantic gatherings of geeks we see today. Meanwhile Jake reminisces about performing at anime conventions and Mike learns about DashCon and the ballpit of despair. No one puts ballpit in a corner, except Dashcon. Must There Be A Superman?

If you watched the janky oddity that is the 2017 Death Note movie or the Scarlet Johansson Ghost in the Shell that also came out in 2017 (what a tough year) this is the episode for you! Anime is massive and yet a successful live action adaptation of one that's as good as the source material seems harder to find than the one piece treasure (With One Piece being the exception that breaks the rule) . Jake explains why this is and we all analyze some of the attempts including Cowboy Bebop, the insanity that is the Wachowski's Speed Racer, and yes even Dragon Ball Evolution because we love entertaining you more than we respect ourselves.
