Sacking season, the January transfer window opens and the WSL returns!

For our final episode of 2025, we’re joined by a player who we have wanted on the pod since the very beginning!

Aurora Galli - otherwise known by her nickname Yaya - is one of the best personalities in the WSL and since joining Everton back in 2021, she has rapidly become a fan favourite on Merseyside.

But on the opening day of last season, Galli ruptured her ACL. Apart from a brief return in May, it has kept her sidelined for over a year and meant that she missed out on a generational Euros for Italy.

So today, we’re getting to know Yaya, reflecting on the past year, and looking ahead to a new chapter in 2026. Plus, she tells us all about her dreams of one day opening a restaurant...

Upfront Wrapped 2025 & New Year’s Resolutions!

That’s it for the WSL in 2025! And we were treated to a couple of bangers this weekend to finish things off. Chloe and Rachel relive it all!

Man United pulled off mission impossible against Spurs – although maybe it was more like ‘mission never should have been impossible in the first place’ – and Marc Skinner was evidently feeling a little hot under the collar.

Elsewhere, West Ham and Liverpool played out a four goal stalemate that left no one happy, Rachel least of all!

And Man City kept up their title pace with a blistering 6-1 win against Aston Villa, featuring a very special milestone for Bunny Shaw. Can anything stop her taking the all-time WSL goalscoring record?

At The Match: Inside the NSL Final

Everyone has gone full-blown Poirot after the Conti Cup final, so Chloe and Rachel get their monocles out and get to the bottom of all the drama between Emma Hayes and Jonas Eidevall!

Of course, we put the game under the Upfront magnifying glass too, and react to an incredible moment for Stina Blackstenius – especially after one of her closest teammates, Frida Maanum, collapsed during the game.

Elsewhere, Rachel reflects on her memories of Steph Houghton after she announced her retirement. And, forty years on from the first ever women’s Euros final between England and Sweden, we speak to the Lionesses’ star striker that day – Pat Chapman – about her memories of the game and and her thoughts on this Friday’s clash in VERY different circumstances at Wembley!
