In last week's episode, Always Already, we journeyed deep into the Amazonian rainforest with the Mayoruna tribe and acclaimed photojournalist Loren McIntyre, who hoped to be the first person to photograph them. To some, McIntyre's ambition to locate the Mayoruna despite their desire to avoid all contact with outsiders speaks to a bygone age of colonial self-importance.
