Christmas 1973, and two young climbers experienced the most terrifying night of their lives in a bothy in the Scottish mountains. The events that took place that night would haunt one of those young men, Phil, for the rest of his life. 

In 2021, Phil told Danny Robins his story, and it became one of the most popular episodes of Uncanny to date. Now, for this special Christmas episode and five decades on from Phil’s original experience, Danny is strapping on his rucksack and heading for the Highlands, to take Phil back to where it all happened.

As objects go flying and the house resounds to terrifying noises, Charli decides to take matters into her own hands. Can she exorcise her supernatural stalker?

Danny Robins talks to Tom, an NHS mental health nurse working with troubled young people. Tom starts to work with Yousuf, a teenage boy from a devoutly Muslim background. His family believe he is possessed by a djinn – an evil spirit, but Tom believes Yousuf is having a crisis of faith which has led him to the brink of suicide. 

When Yousuf does tries to take his own life, he is rescued in seemingly impossible circumstances. Ardent atheist and sceptic Tom is forced to explore the possibility that he has witnessed something he cannot explain. But is it really divine intervention?
