This week, San Diego city leaders rolled back some of the paid parking requirements that had been instituted at Balboa Park. Thousands of Afghan allies who helped American troops during the war now face an uncertain future after the Trump administration put a stop to VISAs for 19 countries, including theirs. Operators of the Hotel Del Coronado have asked the artist behind the elaborate sandcastle displays to stop building on their property.
