Following her time on the National Team, Kim transitioned to mentor, coach, and Outreach Program Director for the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Football Club. Over the years, Kim has earned several awards for her influential work at the grassroots level, including the 2021 Youth Coach of the Year award by United Soccer Coaches, the 2019 Centennial NAACP Youth Services Award, and the 2018 Black Soccer Coaches Advocacy Group Award of Excellence.
