The Stacks: What We're Reading in July and the Latest in Horror Fiction

Welcome to CrichtonCast, our Michael Crichton spinoff podcast exclusive to The Barrens. Today, we're unlocking last year's episode on Crichton's seventh novel, 1990's Jurassic Park, in light of the new Jurassic taking a bite out of the box office this week.

The Losers return to the Barrens following a lengthy holiday hiatus -- and they've brought a guest. Jenn Adams of The Horror Virgin has tagged along to discuss the grisly crimes behind HBO's The Outsider. Together, they discuss Richard Price's turn into the supernatural, Cynthia Erivo's portrayal of Holly Gibney, and the show's delicate dance with tones. Shortly after, the three head to Castle Rock to close up shop on last year's explosive second season on Hulu.
