Episode 283: Interview with Evan from West Virginia

Episode 1 of this new series examines the opening chapter of Genesis exactly as it is written. Did God create the heavens and the earth as His Word plainly declares, or have generations of Christians accepted ideas that cause them to reinterpret the biblical account? Together, we will explore creation ex nihilo, the heavens and the earth, the meaning of the Hebrew word רָקִיעַ (raqia), the firmament, the waters above and below, the sun, moon, and stars, and God's declaration that His finished creation was "very good." This study challenges listeners to place Scripture above the traditions and theories of men and to ask one simple question: Will we allow God's Word to define creation, or will we redefine God's Word? Next week, we'll continue with Part 2: "The Firmament Throughout Scripture: God's Revelation Versus Man's Concept of Outer Space."

This week I read an email from a listener who shares his journey and thoughts on Flat Earth, and I offer some reflections on his perspective. Then we take a look at something we all see every day but rarely stop to consider— the clouds. Are they simply floating balls of water in an endless vacuum, or do they point to a very different reality? I'll share why I believe clouds are one of the strongest everyday observations supporting biblical cosmology.
