"The Deck Investigates" returns with Season 2, delving deep into the perplexing case of Ada Haradine, a 40-year-old mother of two who vanished without a trace from her Elkhart, Indiana home on a seemingly ordinary Wednesday afternoon in May 1985.

Over 14 gripping episodes, we meticulously reconstruct the events leading up to Ada's disappearance, exploring the initial efforts to find her and the myriad of suspects and theories that emerged in the wake of her vanishing.

The investigation takes a dramatic turn when Ada's remains are discovered three years later in a wooded area 12 miles from her home, transforming a missing persons case into a homicide investigation. As law enforcement scrambles to make sense of new evidence, the focus shifts to surprising potential suspects, including Ada's neighbor.

Through exclusive interviews with family members, law enforcement, and key witnesses, "The Deck Investigates" grapples with questions about the challenges of pursuing justice decades after a crime.

Join us as we peel back the layers of this baffling cold case, reexamine old leads, and shine a light on overlooked details in the quest to finally answer the question: Who killed Ada Haradine, and why?

The Deck Investigates

Our card this season is Darlene Hulse, the 4 of Hearts from Indiana.

Darlene Hulse was forcibly taken from her home in Argos, Indiana on August 17, 1984. Her two oldest daughters witnessed the attack but they didn’t recognize the man who took their mother. Though Darlene’s body would be found a day later, just six miles from her home, her killer has evaded law enforcement for almost four decades and her case has remained cold…until now.

After a year long investigation, we’re uncovering new facts and speaking with witnesses and suspects who have never been spoke to before in hopes of finally answering the question, who murdered Darlene Hulse?

Darlene Hulse (4 of Hearts, Indiana)

On the morning of August 17, 1984, Darlene Hulse was at home in rural Argos, Indiana with her three young daughters when a stranger came to the door and forced himself on her. The two oldest girls ran for help while the man continued to attack Darlene on the floor of her living room. A surprising suspect emerges after a fatal shootout of a robber in Texas. When police are asked to search his Indiana residence, they find bloody clothes and a newspaper clipping about Darlene Hulse’s murder.
