This leads into a natural conversation about the new iteration of Loveline that Amber Rose will be co-hosting and the former hosts’ thoughts on the transition. They then turn to the phones and speak to a woman who starting lactating again when her child was two years old and another who is gay and struggling with his political frustration with the left.

Adam and Dr. Drew kick things off with a call from Herb Morgan, who’s running for California State Controller with a mission to restore accountability and expose government waste. Adam asks the obvious question—what exactly does a state controller do?—and Herb breaks it down while also sharing his view that California’s financial system lacks transparency. Drew presses him on how things got to this point, including questions about oversight, NGOs, and the current controller’s performance. Adam also asks for an update on the state’s high-speed rail project. Later, the guys discuss President Trump approving research into psychedelics for neurological disorders and react to a cringeworthy speech from Cory Booker.

The Osbourne conversation gives way to a bit of a left turn into talking about heavy metal music before the guys go to the phones and speak with a caller whose brother is a severe substance abuser with a young daughter he is concerned for.

Adam and Dr. Drew look at New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s plan for city-run grocery stores with super-cheap prices, and they break down why they think the idea is doomed to fail. Adam shares stories from his childhood wandering the Valley looking for free food because his mom didn’t care to feed him, and they talk about people who are just naturally mean, especially those who go out of their way to be mean to kids. They wrap by reacting to California’s proposed “Stop Nick Shirley Act,” which they see as another example of lawmakers trying to silence accountability.
