Trial By Fire follows the true story of the Uphaar Cinema tragedy in Delhi in 1997. Created by Prashant Nair and Kevin Luperchio, this Netflix series follows Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy played by Rajshri Deshpande and Abhay Deol - a married couple who lost both their children in that fire. Based on a 2016 book of the same name written by the real Neelam and Shekhar, this seven-episode series chronicles their three Decade long judicial fight for justice, against the Ansal brothers - rich Delhi industrialists who owned the theater.
