Books, Skates, & Stars

Our stories today have us deep into holiday excitement in the Village. We’ll stop by the bookstore in Snow and Streetlights and pursue the shelves, sip some hot cocoa, and smile at the merriment in downtown. Then we’ll unwrap the buildings of the little Christmas village, plugging in their bulbs and arranging them on the tree skirt in Under the Tree. Finally, we’ll head out to the Inn, where they are getting ready for a week of guests. The mantle is decorated, and from the windows in the ballroom, you can see the ice spreading on the lake in The Innkeeper’s Holiday.

Streetlights, Christmas Trees, & The Inn

Our stories today have us decorating and crafting and enjoying the outdoors. We’ll start with Mistletoe and Marmalade, as the tree goes up, and the animals debate pulling it back down. Then we’ll hear The Holly and the Ivy, where we can step out after the snow has fallen and cut some greenery for handmade gifts. Finally we’ll hear The Tree Farm. We’ll ride the tractor through the fields, and connect someone who needs something, with something that needs a home.

Introducing: Stories from the Village of Nothing Much

Our stories today center around the holiday season and take place downtown and in the neighborhoods surrounding it. We'll meet up with friends for the tree lighting and watch the first flakes fall in Bustle in the City. Then we'll celebrate the first night of Hannukah with family and relive a sweet memory from childhood in Light a Candle. Finally, we'll unpack our wares downtown and get a cup of something warming from a street vender in Winter Market.

Our stories today celebrate some of the special experiences to be had as the weather turns cold and the flakes begin to fall. We’ll start with Snowed in, and spend a lazy morning making waffles and watching the landscape transform. Our stories today honor some holiday traditions, new and old, starting with City Sidewalks, where we will meet up with friends for a merry evening downtown. Next we travel out to the country and visit Weathervane Farm and their barn full of rescued goats and donkeys. Finally, we’ll settle in front of the Christmas tree early on Christmas Eve and think of those dear to us, on their way near to us.

Our stories today take us away to a snowy mountainside and a cabin tucked into the trees. We’ll follow the bookseller as she rides the funicular and settles in at her cabin, then treks out to the chalet for tea and stunning views in parts one and two of Winter Getaway. Then, in part three, we’ll let Chef take over the narrative as they prepare a simple bowl of something warm and comforting to share in their kitchen.
