A very quick update and request!

Surprise! 

We thought we’d drop in your podcast feeds to check in, check everything is working alright and have a bit of a catch up. Musa and Ryan give a little update (00:30), read out some awesome suggestions for the role of hypothetical sporting directors (08:08), following on from the question on our last episode. Catching Up With Jackson Irvine!

PSG Finally Have Their Champions League!

After a bit of chat at the top of the show, Musa and Ryan begin with Chelsea, who came from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1 and win the Conference League in Wroclaw (07:04); a successful season for Enzo Maresca ends in silverware. They then move on to some transfer chat (19:57), including some thoughts on Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool, and the Florian Wirtz links. There’s also a brief discussion of Erik ten Hag's appointment as the new Bayer Leverkusen head coach and more!

Chelsea Win the Conference League. Plus, Some Transfer Talk

As the domestic seasons wrap up in Europe, Musa and Ryan begin with a quick Stadio curse update. Then, it’s on to Arsenal winning the Women’s Champions League for the first time in 18 years (03:56), with a 1-0 win over Barcelona in Lisbon, as well as looking at the incredible job Renée Slegers has done since taking over as head coach. They move on to a brilliant Napoli Scudetto win, thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Serie A MVP Scott McTominay (21:09), there’s the Premier League final day (32:22), Ancelotti's goodbye, Alonso's arrival, the Erik ten Hag news and some Cup final chat (50:10).

Arsenal's UWCL, Napoli's Serie A, Premier League Final Day and More!

Spurs have won their first trophy in 17 years! They beat Manchester United 1-0 in Bilbao to clinch the Europa League and a Champions League place. Musa and Ryan chat all about the final (02:52) and takeaways from a Spurs perspective, and they heap praise on Ange Postecoglou, who proved doubters wrong by delivering a trophy, as promised. In Part 2, they look at it from a Manchester United perspective (29:16), discussing whether Ruben Amorim will stay and whether the board will finally learn the necessary lessons from this season and make decisions that move the club forward.

Europa League Glory for Spurs and Postecoglou!

It’s a busy show this week, as Musa and Ryan each do their best to battle through heavy colds! They begin with an email about the Stadio curse before chatting about the first major trophy for Crystal Palace, who won the men’s FA Cup against Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley (09:06). They then talk about the Premier League a bit, most notably Goodison Park’s final Premier League game (25:11), Jamie Vardy’s 200th goal in his Leicester City home goodbye, and some other farewells. Next up, it’s over to Berlin, where they discuss their day at the Försterei watching Union Frauen win the second tier in front of more than 20,000 fans (30:31). Then they give a quick update on the top two men's divisions; the Serie A title race, which is going down to the wire; and more!

Pure Joy for Palace, Goodbyes Galore, and Much More!

Musa and Ryan begin with Bologna winning their first Coppa Italia in 51 years, following a 1-0 win over Milan at the Stadio Olimpico (01:24), before shouting out Galatasaray’s Turkish Cup win and some other stuff from this week (12:07). They then chat about Carlo Ancelotti taking over the Brazil men’s national side (15:17) and look ahead to some great stories this weekend (28:25), including the FA Cup final, Union Berlin Frauen, Vermont Green’s first game of the season and more!

Bologna’s First Coppa Italia in 51 Years, Ancelotti to Brazil and More!

Musa and Ryan are back and there’s only one place to begin! Leverkusen left it late again to maintain their unbeaten run and go 13 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga (01:49), thanks to Dortmund’s first league win at Bayern in 10 years (11:28). There’s a quick shout-out for the Championship (17:54), before moving on to the top of the Premier League, where Liverpool go top, following Manchester City and Arsenal’s draw (20:18). They also round up the rest of the Premier League (32:48) and there’s a quick shout-out for Arsenal’s Conti Cup win and Manchester City going top of the WSL (43:18).
