This week we are sharing Chapter 6 of the BoxCar Children. Henry and Jess had a bit of a fright when Watch, the dog, was growling and barking at a noise outside the boxcar. They decide that no-one should go into the woods by themselves just in case. Henry has a great day at work, working in the garden in the morning and bringing home lots of small vegetables for a stew. When he returns in the afternoon the Doctor asks him to tidy the garage and he heads home at the end of the day with even more treasures, bent nails and a hammer.
