In tonight's story, we're sharing an old classic that first appeared in 1850, written by the famous author Charles Dickens. Dickens is known for many wonderful works, including A Christmas Carol, and his stories often capture the magic and spirit of the holidays. This story, called A Christmas Tree, takes us on a journey through Christmas memories filled with imagination and the joy of togetherness. While the original story is quite long and written in the style of its time, we've adapted it to be shorter and more accessible for bedtime.

In Chapter 9 Alice is playing croquet with the Queen of Hearts when the Duchess is brought out. They go for a walk until the Queen comes back and demands that they play. The Duchess quickly leaves but Alice goes back to the game. The Queen after a while asks Alice if she has ever seen a Mock Turtle and Alice says “no.” So the Queen sends her to a Gryphon to hear his story.
