Welcome to the world of Shaun Keaveny’s Daily Grind. It's a show of contradictions, it's about anything and everything but it's definitely also a show about nothing. It's a bit like a daily radio show but it's a podcast. It’s disorientating, but it’s also reassuring! The Daily Grind is a comforting accompaniment to help you through the week, as Shaun Keaveny returns to the studio in this daily podcast.

"Did you think I was dead? Did you think I was off living in a cave? Did you think I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar? Do you even know who I am? Maybe the answer to all those questions is no, but I hope you say YES I WILL LISTEN TO YOUR PODCAST because I honestly think it's going to be great. WHAT’S IT ABOUT, SHAUN?? Good question...I can’t answer that. It is a podcast essentially about nothing and everything. Will there be guests? Yes, in a weird way. Will we be in the studio? Yes, but also everywhere...on a canal towpath...in a pub. Will there be features? YES...Will you stop asking questions? YES OKAY. If nothing else it will be a mildly diverting daily piece of daft to counteract the daily dread. GO ON GIVE IT A GO!!

A new era has dawned... here's our pilot. Shaun spends the first part of the podcast trying to offset all the audio detritus that he's put into the world by picking up litter. In the studio, we hear from Joe Lycett (on a busy road) about the topic of busses and Gary Kemp because its his birthday. As well as NEWS and On This Day. They say that week 2 of a daily podcast is when fatigue truly sets in. Decision-making becomes impaired, and things can go seriously wrong. Add to this the additional factor that it's also half term, and there's no telling how low Shaun could fall. We begin with the big man alone by the canal, having a quiet word with himself before he comes into studio.
