Venezuela's acting president is offering to collaborate with the United States after President Trump threatens further strikes. Deposed president Nicolas Maduro is scheduled to appear before a federal judge in New York, as the United Nations meets to discuss the legality of his capture. Venezuela: Trump’s threats, Caracas’ change of tone and Maduro in court

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is being held in a New York detention center after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a raid to capture the South American leader and take control of the country and its vast oil reserves. Maduro's vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, has called it a kidnapping and is demanding his immediate release.

Venezuela: Maduro in NY custody, Caracas defiance and oil

President Donald Trump says the United States will run Venezuela until a proper transition of power can be arranged. The declaration comes after the US captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a dramatic overnight operation. Maduro and his wife are en route to the United States to face criminal charges.
