Syria: How Assad fell, the view from Damascus and US response

New York prosecutors have filed a murder charge against Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson, after a manhunt that ended in Pennsylvania. Families have been desperately searching the filthy cells of Syria's forbidding Sednaya prison for any sign of long-detained relatives. Around 180 people have been killed by gangs in Haiti over suspicions they were involved in witchcraft, according to an NGO.

Syrian mass graves, Mayotte, Trump’s defamation claims and Tulsi Gabbard

Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shooting of a Minnesota Democratic state lawmaker and her husband, has been arrested. Strikes between Iran and Israel enters their fourth day, with Iran lauding its ‘new method’ as missiles hit Tel Aviv and Haifa - while Israel threatens that Tehran residents will pay the price for the attacks. The conflict will be high on the agenda as G7 leaders meet in Canada.
