The series investigates the haunting and unresolved death of Ellen Greenberg, a 27-year-old Philadelphia teacher who was found stabbed 20 times in her locked apartment in 2011. Initially ruled a homicide, her manner of death was later controversially changed to suicide, and the case was closed without further inquiry. 

 

Later, Kate welcomes medium Jonathan Mark, host of the Connect with Jonathan Mark podcast, for a discussion about the case.
