Police arrested a man, held him for hours while searching his vehicle and home, before eventually releasing him in the early morning hours. “Carlos” spoke to reporters about his arrest, saying he doesn’t even know who Savannah Guthrie is, or anything about a kidnapping because he “doesn’t follow the news.” Meantime, police had to give a stern warning to reporters covering the ongoing investigation.

NEW OVERNIGHT: Person of Interest Detained, Released Hours Later in Nancy Guthrie Investigation

A potentialy case-breaking development. The FBI today released several images and videos from the doorbell camera at Nancy Guthrie's home the night she disappeared. They show a man in a mask with gloves, and the images seem to put to rest any doubts about whether or not Guthrie was actually abducted.

Another bizarre turn in the abduction of Savannah Guthrie’s mom. TMZ has given police a ransom note they received from someone who claims to have Nancy Guthrie, demanding millions in cryptocurrency by a specific deadline, “or else.” TMZ says the note has details about the crime scene that only the suspect would know, and the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they are aware of “reports of a possible ransom note.” In the Meantime, comments have started pouring in about the case online and it’s already gotten political and frankly, cruel. We hope Savannah never reads them.
