49-year-old Jeffery Lee is set to become Alabama’s second execution of the year at 6 pm ET. Lee was scheduled to die back in June via nitrogen gas for the double murder of a pawn shop owner and his employee. Lee also shot and thought he killed a second employee who played dead, but was able to call 9-1-1 and identify Lee. Lee was only sentenced to death after a judge overruled a jury of his peers who voted 7 to 5 for life in prison. A 2017 law in Alabama no longer allows judges to overrule a jury’s ruling, but it’s not retroactive, and does nothing to spare Lee from dying by lethal injection this evening.

The representative for the late Hayden Panettiere felt the need to release a second statement in the aftermath of the young actress’s shocking death. Panettiere’s spokesperson spoke out after several reports have circulated this week suggesting that the 36-year-old may have died from a single, black market oxycodone pill laced with fentanyl. The statement urges people to remain patient and insists the answers “we are all seeking will come.” Meantime, Panettiere’s ex, Brian Hickerson, was confronted by a photo journalist after his messy outburst at North Carolina Wild Wings restaurant.

We get you caught up on all of the Ed Sheeran, Macklemore, Robert Kraft back and forth after Macklemore publicly challenged New England Patriot Owner Robert Kraft to match his $1 million donation to organizations supporting Palestinians, Kraft issued a vague statement talking about building bridges between all people. Kraft acknowledged the challenge and added that Ed Sheeran asked him to match a $2 million dollar donation for aid to the region, but never specified if he was going to write either check. Kraft is said to have led the boycott that removed Macklemore off of Sheeran’s tour, over his “Free Palestine” speech during his opening set at Met Life Stadium earlier this month.

The brother of Princess Dianna, Charles Spencer, has authored a new book leading up to the 30th anniversary of her death. In the book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” Spencer writes about a phone call he had with then Prince Charles after the death of Diana, where he claims Charles said “Rest assured. We’ll forget her soon enough.” In a rare move, Buckingham Palace chose to respond to the released passage by saying “His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and color memory.” Damn!

Sadly, we were loyal customers for several years, renting through Vrbo multiple times a year. However, when we had such a difficult experience at a home over the summer, the homeowner refunded a percentage of our prepaid rental fee, only to have Vrbo, days later take $5,000 from us without asking, and without explanation. After hours on the phone, multiple calls, and multiple emails where all parties agreed we had NOTHING to do with an insurance claim, Vrbo has still refused to return money that wasn’t never meant to be charged to our our credit card. Everyone who is thinking about renting a home, needs to hear our story first.

President Trump’s self appointed Kennedy Center Board made the decision to close the memorial within hours of a judge blocking the latest effort to have Trump’s name etched on the building’s facade. And just wait until you hear the ten proposed inscriptions, all of which were rejected by the judge; each one praising, thanking and acknowledging Trump’s “generosity." But that proposed generosity has strings attached, Trump making clear in his latest social media post that a planned renovation won’t happen until the building is allowed to bear his name.

UPDATE: The Kennedy Center Is Officially CLOSED, Hours After Judge Refuses To Allow Trump’s Name On It

Both Texas and Georgia have scheduled executions for this evening, but late Tuesday, a Georgia judge put a temporary stay on the execution of 53-year-old Stacey Humphries. The judge granting Humphries a hearing based on a new law that allows inmates convicted of capital offenses to be resentenced if they suffered severe childhood abuse. Georgia prosecutors have filed an expedited appeal and state officials say they are keeping the execution plan in place for now. In Texas, 40-year-old LeJames Norman will be put to death for his role in a horrific 2015 triple homicide. His cohort, is scheduled to die for the same crime next week.
