Actor and musician siblings Nat Wolff (Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars) and Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Old) have been living and breathing music nearly their entire lives. As kids, they wrote and performed their own songs on their hit Nickelodeon show The Naked Brothers Band before eventually forming their aptly named pop rock duo Nat & Alex Wolff. Now, the brothers are back with their third studio album. Nat and Alex join guest host Talia Schlanger to talk about their unusual childhoods and experiences with early fame, how they’ve evolved as collaborators while keeping a strong brotherly bond, and why now was the right time to start writing music again.

That’s exactly what the Toronto filmmaker Seth Scriver has done with Endless Cookie, an animated documentary he created over nine years with his half-brother Peter. Acclaimed actor Lee Byung-hun (Squid Game, KPop Demon Hunters) has done a lot to pave the way for Korean films in Hollywood — but he never set out to be a performer. Now, he’s reunited with director Park Chan-wook for the satirical drama No Other Choice. The film follows an honest labourer named Man-soo who struggles to find employment after being laid off from the paper mill where he’s worked for the last 25 years. As his family makes sacrifices, Man-soo grows frustrated by the crowded job market and his methods for securing employment grow darker alongside his desperation. During the Toronto International Film Festival, Byung-hun sat down with Tom Power to reflect on his role in No Other Choice as well as his superstar career.

When the award-winning actor and playwright Anusree Roy was growing up, her grandmother would tell her stories about the Partition of India in 1947, when British India was divided into the Muslim-majority Pakistan and the Hindu-majority India. Now, decades later, Anusree is performing in a play she wrote about the Partition called “Trident Moon.” It follows nine women and girls over the course of one life-changing night as they try to survive unspeakable danger. Anusree joins Tom Power in our studio to tell us why she wanted the story to feel unsentimental, what history books leave out about the Partition, and why humour serves such a vital role in the play.
