Jesus did not pray that His disciples would be protected from the struggles of this world but that God may strengthen them as they pass through it.

It is easy to be faithful when all is going well. But it is in the trying times in our life that we are able to grow in our faith, to learn to depend on God's grace and continue striving in holiness.
