Judas' desire for money clouded his judgment, leading him to betrayal. Once he faced the consequences, he was deeply grieved, realizing too late that thirty pieces of silver couldn’t compare to the value of his soul. Even in that moment, he could have turned back to God’s mercy, but he chose despair instead.

This Holy Week, reflect on Judas’ story. What do you desire more than our Lord? What temptations cloud your judgment and lead you to empty choices? Strive to let go of those disordered desires and choose God’s will instead. Don’t let the lies hold you back from making Jesus the focus of your life.
