Feast of St. Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene is among the first to witness the Resurrection. In the early morning, she comes to the tomb, still wrapped in sorrow, and does not recognize the Lord—mistaking Him for the gardener. Through her tears, she pleads for the body of Jesus, still seeking Him even in her grief. It is only when He gently speaks her name that she recognizes Him. In that moment of recognition, she is entrusted with a sacred mission: to go to Peter and the other disciples and proclaim, "I have seen the Lord."
