Today is the last day of the current Liturgical Year, and the last day of Ordinary Time until after Christmas.

We conclude the year with Christ reminding us to be always ready because we do not know when he will return. As we prepare to begin a new liturgical year, perhaps this is a good time to reflect upon our own lives and so make preparations for our own end and entry to eternal life.
