Birthdays, brunches, dinners, drinks, movies and that doesn’t even factor in things like trips together or a wedding! A recent survey found that Gen Z spends an average of $433 a month on friendships alone. One in 10 said they’ve gone so far as to end a friendship because it was too expensive People are turning to low-cost hangouts like the beach (but find one with free parking), hiking, game nights, staying in and watching Netflix, and so on.
