Cross-training That Metaphor

It’s how the Dodgers signed Sasaki -- well, that and acing their homework assignment. Patti invented a fennel-clementine-gin cocktail in the comfort of her own home, and Pottymouth enjoyed local brews in the great state of MA, and yet we still found the time to tell you stories of boyfriends on the Twins and the Cards. We’re in the middle of the arbitration window and of course we are keeping score. Arbitration is Not an Affectionate Process

So many guys are out for the rest of the season. Some from random and heartbreaking injury, and some from preventable mayhem. We mourn the loss of Christian Yelich and ponder the opportunity that Shohei Ohtani’s knee surgery provides to improve his command of Spanish language cursing. We give a hearty WTaF to Kyle Crick’s “I punched my own teammate over music choices” injury and Michael Pineda’s “over-the-counter weight loss pills seemed like a good idea at the time” suspension. The grooming segment is back, celebrating Bo Bichette’s flow, noting Pete Alonso’s mustache, a bad idea coming AND going, and hoping Mike Fiers has learned his lesson screwing with a winning streak via facial hair.
