But none of that stopped her from going after her dreams, and she became the first runner-up at the Miss Wheelchair India contest in 2014 along with BBC 100 Women, Rising Star India ‘17, Youth Ambassador - Enable Travel, Disability Rights Activist by 2018.

A social activist and a motivational speaker, Pramod Patel runs DivyangKala, an #NGO for the differently abled...an initiative to create the ‘LARGEST DISABLED PERFORMING ART GROUP’ and a “FIRST DIFFERENTLY ABLED TALENT HOUSE” at the same time to spread awareness about the inequality for Differently-Abled People in the society.

"We are all different from each other in some way. Everyone has limitations. But turning those limitations into opportunities is what I believe in. We don’t need sympathy, we need empathy from our friends, family and society for our confidence to shine. I couldn’t even stand on my own feet but my passion for dance took me places", Pramod Patel, Founder DivyangKala.

In a country where crimes against women are widespread, meet Deepika Bhardwaj, an activist who fights for men's rights and against the misuse of IPC Section 498A, commonly known as the Anti-Dowry Law of India.

The biggest example of her work is her documentary #film on Netflix '#MartyrsOfMarriage', which features people who have suffered at the hands of abuse of this provision and proves that it's NOT only women who suffer!

Men's Rights Activism ft. Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj

Chinu Kwatra, a 27 year old #Mumbai resident, took an initiative to feed hundreds of children and women everyday at various dumping grounds in Mumbai inspite of facing hardships in his personal life through his #NGO Roti Ghar. Apart from this, he has vowed to clean and beautify the Dadar beach which is currently a dumpyard!

At one point of time, he decided to commit suicide, today he runs an NGO named ‘Roti Ghar’ which feeds over 100 underprivileged women and children every day. His favourite quote is “Insaan Bano”
