The Chi-Town Outsider Runnin' for Congress

You might have noticed, as Kristi Noem gets removed from her position, that Trump is just letting all these women go out in front and take all the bullets for him. It may come off like he’s hiring a bunch of women and putting them in powerful positions, but he’s actually putting them in impossible positions and making them take the fall for him. Actually, These Are Very Precedented Times: James Stout & Social Revolutions Everywhere, Pt. 2

A clip went around social media last week of a kid at his high school in Illinois shouting about how he's pro-ICE durning an anti-ICE protest. In comes another kid saying "I'm going to punch you" and then he does just that. I'm not so much interested in the veracity of that story in as much as what it means to stoke violence, then hide behind the law. The pro-ICE kid that's filming says "If you punch me, you'll get in trouble..." So be it.

A Pimp Named Epstein

Reaction formation is a post-Freudian defense mechanism that comes up when a person feels, whether real or imagined, a sense of rejection and, rather than acknowledging the feeling, tells themselves that they didn't want the thing they requested in the first place. Since the Turning Point halftime show was neither Christian, wholesome or better than the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show, one has to wonder, besides good old fashioned racism, what is actually going on in their minds and hearts to even feel the need to have their own performance?
