The Ten Commandments

The first great commandment to which Jesus referred was from the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4–5. The second is from a more obscure passage in Leviticus 19:18. Jesus said that every prophecy and commandment in the Old Testament depended on these two commandments: love God and love your neighbor. Pick up your Bible or phone and turn to Romans 16 to hear the story.
