“God’s Country” with brothers Dan and Reid Isbell is a rollicking weekly podcast that sits at the intersection of country music and the great outdoors. Each episode explores how today’s biggest and most talented country stars and songwriters pull inspiration from rugged,  first-hand relationships with the natural world. Nashville songwriters by profession who spent their childhoods getting muddy in the wilds of Tennessee, Dan and Reid draw on their own passion for hunting and fishing to lead a thought-provoking and fun exploration of the fundamental role of outdoor living in country music.

This week you’re getting a Bro Pod out in God’s Country. Reid and Dan take this episode to answer some fan questions and dive deeper into their songwriting journey. They share some of the vulnerable highs and lows that they’ve experienced, while keeping their faith at the center of their lives. In a few months they are going elk hunting out west, so they share what they’re doing to prep for that, and Reid shares his dream hunt.

They dive in on his rapid rise to stardom and what it has looked like for him. 12 months ago, Hudson was studying for college exams, and now he is headlining shows across the US and shattering records along the way. The three of them discuss his rural upbringing in Texas and what the outdoors looked like for him. Hudson dissects winning a high school state championship in football, which somehow was only three years ago. Episode ends with a shoutout to Texas forever and Hudson's gravorite of all time.
