Toxic Baby Food? . . . What? In this episode we go back to our discussion on conspiracy and ask what do the more Eastern philosophical texts say about these ideas? In a sense, do they say we are ALL living in a kind of Conspiracy?
We start the show by highlighting the suppression of information in the public sphere--that's the Toxic Baby Food Part-- and our responsibility to search for the What May Not Yet Be Known . . . We discuss Astrology and the Age of Aquarius. Then we dive into Taoist and Zen philosophers: Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu and the Zen poet Ikkyu.
From Chuang Tzu, “I cannot tell if what the world considers ‘happiness’ is happiness or not. All I know is that when I consider the way they go about attaining it, I see them carried away headlong, grim and obsessed, in the general onrush of the human herd, unable to stop themselves or to change their direction. All the while they claim to be just on the point of attaining happiness.”
