Dr Alan Stoddard explores the creation of an exegetical sermon outline and its transformation into a preaching outline, offering key insights to enrich your personal study and public speaking. His message includes valuable lessons from his time at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary under the late Haddon Robinson, along with effective strategies for introductions and applications. This recording was made at our 2023 training event hosted at The Creek Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 Alan has a passion for disciple-making. He has been a pastor for 34 years. He knows the difference between church growth and disciple-making. His passion for disciple making encompasses three things:

 1. Good preaching.

 2. Intentional disciple-making.

 3. Sermon based small-groups.

Alan is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary as well as Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He teaches online as a adjoint professor for the Calvary Chapel, Bible College, and for Rockbridge Seminary.

Alan has been married to Jeana for 37 years. They met her a blind date. Through her he came to know Christ. Alan is the father of Briana who is 23 years old and is about to graduate with a four-year degree debt-free. He is so proud of her.

Dan Hamel serves as the lead pastor at The Creek in Indianapolis, Indiana. A graduate of Ozark Christian College, he is passionate about preaching, discipleship, and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus.

From the Page to the Pulpit with Wayne Baxter

In this episode of the Expositors Collective Podcast, Mike Neglia is joined by Roberto Gazga, a hospice chaplain, lay preacher at Christ the King Reformed Baptist Church in Niles, Illinois, and host of the Urban Puritano podcast. Roberto is the author of Christ's Scope and Scepter: His Word, His World and is currently working on his forthcoming book, How to Preach Like a Puritan. Since we are justified by faith it means that we are accepted, loved and approved by God entirely on the basis of Christ’s work on our behalf.

Pete Nelson speaks on the importance of knowing our identity in Christ, and how that impacts our public ministry and allows us to find our own voice and be comfortable in our own skin.

As a pastor, musician and evangelist, Pete Nelson’s worldwide travels have given him a unique perspective on the church as well as the global need for the gospel. Pete received Christ as a senior in high school. Pete’s previous pastoral experience includes: Senior pastor at Calvary of Albuquerque, founding pastor of White Fields Community Church in Longmont, Colorado, and teaching pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Pete recently planted One Love Church in Sydney, Australia and is now currently planting One Love Church in Thousand Oaks, CA. Pete is married to Angie and has three children and two grandchildren.
